We already operate an almost paper-free office and do not generate any paper price lists, invoices or brochures. We also use entirely recyclable packaging and we recycle all waste generated at our HQ. We have plans in place for a totally eco-friendly new HQ building which will further expand our eco credentials with several cutting-edge developments, including our own water processing system and hydrogen generated power allowing us to be almost completely self-sufficient. Looking ahead, what are the longer-term company goals?
As mentioned above, our new HQ will be groundbreaking in terms of our sustainability, allowing us to operate almost totally self-sufficiently with our own water harvesting system and generating our own power via a solar/hydrogen system, which would be a first for a business in the UK. Our plan is not to need any mains-provided water or power at all at the new HQ. Our long-term goals also include plans for a small vineyard and kitchen garden, allowing our hospitality and tasting events to be provided by our own produce. We also have plans for the vineyard and garden to be worked by local students looking for experience within the industry.
